This past weekend my daughter's school had their cross country meet. The kids have been training hard for the past month, getting ready for the big race. It was a cold windy Saturday, but we all bundled up and headed out to Bronte creek for the big event. I loved seeing the excitement in the kids eyes, brought back some fond memories from back in the day. The kids did great!! They gave it their all!!! Congrats guys!! You should all be proud! Two weeks ago I had the pleasure to accompany my friend and fellow photographer Heather ( From The Heart Imagery) on a newborn TWINS shoot.... I was soooooo excited.... I have never photographed twins before and was really looking forward to it..... These two were amazing to work with...... They slept the whole time, and while one was feeding the other was getting his/her solo time infront of the camera.... I have know these two sweet boys for 3 years now and I can't believe how big they have gotten in this short time. This was my fist time getting the opportunity to capture them in an official session..... I do have to say I was quite surprised by how much they enjoyed being in front of the camera... This little cutie paid me a visit last week in the studio to ring in the big ONE..... Those gorgeous big brown eyes had me mesmerized and those lashes ...WOW!!!!! SO ....... It cost me a sleepover with one of his buds, but I got my little VDAY shoot from Julian..... Bribes seem to always work in this house, and sometimes you have to do, what you have to do to get things done..... I love shooting my own kids... There are no rules, no high expectations, just me , him and my camera..... Tonight he was so excited about his sleepover that he co-operated, and my wish was his command...... He even had his favourite poses and facial expressions all ready and planned out.... Gotta love him!!!!! My little boy...... My Valentine!!! So the end of September and October was a fun , busy time here at Maggie D Photography. This weekend I had my first fall mini session of 2014, and I couldn't have asked for better weather and the family I photographed was AWSOME!!!!! I don't usually post personal sessions on my blog, but I really like this one, and one of the main reasons is because I'm actually in the frame with my two babes.......Most of the time, I'm on the other side of the camera, but time goes by so quickly and I realized there isn't many session with me in them.... I want my kids to have these memories of us together forever, so I'm going to make this a regular thing, all you moms and dads should.... after all I want to be a part of our story , and so far what a story, thanks to these two, life has never been the same , and I'm so thankful for both of them....
I met this awesome family a few months back , when I had the pleasure of photographing their little boy who was turning one..... They are just full of love, laughter and good times.... and in just a few short weeks , this family will have another sweet angel joining their crew.......Mama ,you are simply glowing and are one stunning mom to be.....can't wait to meet( and of course photograph) your new little addition.....

Family session are some of my favourites, especially when the whole family comes together....they don't happen often , but when they do, they are awesome.....I have worked with this family in the past, so it was nice to see some familiar faces.... even though the sun was shinning bright, we managed to find some shade and make the best of it......hope you guys enjoy your images for many years to come ......

I was asked to shoot this hockey tournament for the second year in a row, and I must say, I was honoured..... This hockey tournament is organized by a family close to my heart, and raises money for mental health awareness. This year they raised over $20,000... Congratulations to the Howard family, and thank you for letting me be a part of this great event, it is truly a great experience to be a part off. ........see you guys next year!
